Anybody know where I can get a running early modular 4.6 with wiring and ECU for a decent price, locally? Preferably with a bellhousing intact... Something from a pre-99 crown vic, mustang, or merc/lincoln? Thanks guys.

Why pre-99? I thought the revised PI intake was the one to go with?

whole car for 650. 97 i think it is. some dude is selling our old taxi for that much on craigslist.

I was thinking of putting one in my Ranger, so the lower HP isn't a big deal, and since the cost is about 1/4 what a later PI would cost... 700 would be a steal... how many miles? I'll probably stick with a 2.3 for now, since genocide has one and wants to give it to me for a sweet deal. But I was thinking 400-700ish for a running long block, ECU and wiring... getting a complete car to part out wouldn't hurt to offset the cost though...

that car has a ton of miles..like in the 200k range. wonder why we got rid of it? haha

but my dad has a 98 4.6 with wiring harness, ecu and tranny for 600. its all been taken out of the car already. low miles too. lmk

Hmmm... I'll see if I can scrape together that much dough... It's just for a truggy... I'll let you know. Possibly considering tying the knot with the lady though... so that might soak up all the savings.
