PM me or call me, assuming you lucky few have my number, and I will be glad to help out in any way I can. I do most extras under the table for $20. Anything specialty like home audio and wall mounts will be charged accordingly. I prefer to give estimates before just diving into anything.
So keep me in mind, and don't let the admin fool you, use CableOne for all your communication needs. I am here to help.

How do I get them to lower my bill! Any tips or tricks you can give me? I'm about ready to switch to DirectTV because I'm tired of paying $180 for phone/internet/tv when I can get the same thing for $70 cheaper from Direct for the first year and then once the year is up it's still $40 cheaper.

Keep in mind that all of our service calls are free. Once you add in protection plans, it can get spendy. I know qwest likes to charge 70 up front if you have any issues with phone or internet. We are going to be dropping our economy pricing package within the next month, and you can call on that to see what we can do for you. Basically, all our services are cut in half on cost, making it very easy on the pocketbook.

I guess that's cool if something breaks, but in the 5 years I've been with Cableone now I've never had to make one service call. So having them free has not really saved me any money.

Why does is cableone watching your internets and have a very retarded CDMA policy?
And why can they apply it to customers with zero notification?

I really don't understand your question, as I am a field technician and don't really have the resources to answer the question that many of our pencil pushers could. I will see if I can supply you an answer.

ohh it's alright. Cableone just applied a copyright policy to most a user I know, and It's annoying because if they catch you DL'ing something that's flagged under the policies black list they shut your service down until you call in about it. Through second hand experience the customer that I heard this from wasn't notified about the policy until after service was shut down. It was not much of a biggie as you just call in and then get your net back up. But still annoying. I also believe this just isn't Cableone, I think a lot of ISP's are making this move part of their policies.

Oh yeah that. We are seeing a lot of people abusing their max bandwidth, so that would be the big reason we do it. If you start hogging bandwidth, it could begin to affect people who live near you, and would cause them to have slow down issues.
As far as a price cut, I don't have any specifics yet. It is still waiting to be dropped into play at this point, but once I know, you will know Edwin.

.......abusing? Are they not paying for that bandwidth every month?

Yo Keith, i'm moving into another place and getting cableone in my name. Do you unlock boxes? I'd like to pay for basic cable, but get the whole shebang lol. Also, is there really that big a difference between reg and digital cable, and 3meg vs 5meg. I've never really seen the speeds I was supposed to. I'd like to know what "bundle" would be most beneficial whilst being the cheapest for me... Thanks dude,

They are paying for bandwidth, but when they exceed or abuse the terms of their usage agreement, then the issue and restrictions come into play.
Joel, there is no way I can hook you up, all of that is mandated by the office and they keep a tab of where boxes are located, whether it be on my truck or in my equipment locker. They know when a box comes up missing, and if not activated at time of work order closure, they will time out in 8 days or less. I wish I could bring better news, lol.
Everything we do is digital, and as for the additional channels a box brings you, it's only really beneficial to pay the extra amount if you actually watch all the channels. There is a difference in 3MB and 5MB, you don't really see it while downloading, but most of the seen speed increase in on upload.
As far as pricing, what is your price buffer and comfort zone.

I don't really go any higher than the 70's on cableone (is that basic cable?). I didn't really realize what the big diff was between the "regular" version bundle with the 3meg and the "digital" version with the 5meg cable. I play xbox live quite a bit, so if the 5megs will help me with my latency, I'll do it. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the basic internet and tv package (66 bucks I believe). They're changing the prices soon, right? Maybe they'll have something better for me. Keep me updated if you have the free time, and thanks for the help ;-)

I'm still not sure quite yet on the economy package, but I will update as news comes along. If the 3MB service results in no lag, then you are fine as is. Come by my house sometime and I can give you a tour of the digital box, PM me for directions and a phone number.

Because I can't find it ANYWHERE on the cable one site... Do you have any idea about pricing??
Basically, when I get my own place, I kinda want movie channels, and all that stuff. I need cable internet, there is no doubt about that... But price wise... What am I looking at? I know it's like $112 for just regular digital+internet, but how much does it increase if I want all that extra included??

I believe movie channels are around 8 bucks per package, as in, 8 bucks for all HBO's, 8 bucks for all Showtime and affiliated networks.

WTF!!! I just got another thing with my bill saying they are jacking up the prices of cable again. It's been raised about $10 over the last year. So frustrating. Looks like it's time to switch to a dish.

ok so i just got the dvr set up from cable one and i want to record stuff im not home when it comes on so i can watch it later but it only records while im sitting there watching it how do i fix it
goto guide, find the show you want to record, hit info, red dot is record, push it, and set a time to record. you can search for the name of the show under search, find the show, push info on the remote, goto the clock icon and it will show you what other times it is on, find the time you want to record or watch, push record, and it will be self explanitary from there.

Yeah i tried that but if i turn off the tv while i'm at school or work or whatever it doesn't record it it will only record if i'm watching it
if your cable box is still on, it will record. it is not based off your tv signal, only your cable box. cable feed-cable box-tv-your eyes. if your box goes off with your tv, you will not record.
