Engine: EA82t 1.8 Turbo
Transmission: AWD 5 speed with high low range
Miles: 190,000 on body, unknown on newer engine

Story:

Well i sold the nova, and was looking on craigslist and decided to look at it, i fell in love as soon as i got there. It runs amazing, just has alot of rust since it was in Salt lake for most of it's life. I need to get a grinder and sander to get most of the rust off, some parts i'm going to have to get new metal.

So far It's been an amazing car, amazing gas mileage and is pretty peppy, but still slow.

NICE! You got one of the best years of the RX! full time 4wd hi/lo with the diff lock switch. That car will go anywhere it's insane. A WRX topmount mated with a stock 91-94 legacy turbo vf11 and a bov would be a great start. Also would need a custom downpipe, but they are very easy to fabricate. For suspension you could do factory XT struts mated with some 80's honda dx ebay coilovers for a nice ride and slam. Or you could just do the whole 5x100 XT6 hub conversion complete with swaybars and endlinks, it all bolts up. Any questions just let me know, this is where I started modding subies.

wow, you are who i'll be going to with questions. but i already have plans for the full 5x100 swap from the xt.

also are the wheels on this as rare as i was told? I've only seen one other subaru with them and no one will tell me if they are or not. because if they really are that rare i may keep the 4x140 lug pattern and keep these wheels.

but anyways i just ran it here for bracket racing, my first time was 18.884 then 18.801. the clutch was slipping and was sputtering so i know it's a little quicker than that.

well apparently the return line popped off and the coolant line exploded, so... yeah. but the "new" turbo i bought is "deffective" the compressor housing is fucked up. so yeah, i'm driving the car now, but it's not boosting..

the coolant line and return line have nothing to do with the TURBO, and everything to do with the INSTALATION. which points the finger at YOU. im begining to see the common demominator with all of your cars dying....YOU.

Is it just me or is there no vacuum line going to the BOV? It needs a vacuum reference so it knows when to open.

yes, a retainer broke and it dropped a valve. 1 motor in 17 years of building and racing honda's is a lot better than what 5-6 cars in the last year?

i really dont see your point. i had a part failure on a fully built 500hp motor, and this guy destroys bone stock 80hp cars on the regular.

I get why his motor blew, I was just stating a fact, that indeed he had a motor blow on him. It may not have been his fault, but it did happen. I don't know the story with the OP about how many cars he's blown up, so I'm not going to comment on that.

Ok, so first of yes, there is no vacuum line going to it in that picture, the nipple that it slipped on broke, so i had to replace it.

And as far as the coolant line goes, it was the coolant return line from the bottom of the turbo returning the coolant back to where ever, it ruptured and exploded. and the oil line split and slid off. So dietz i'm sorry but dont be a fucking douch bag about things, even if the car self distructed, the only thing i have done to it is the Intercooler, i never took the turbo off until the shit broke. there for it wouldn't really have been my fault since i've done routene matenince on it.

This would have been 1 of the 8 cars i have had that would have died, the rest either got sold, not finished, towed, or are just sitting.

well, had sold this for a month, and got it back because for some messed up reason i missed it =\

this weekend i'm doing a 2.5 inch downpipe, to complete the exhaust, pretty soon will make the header so i can mount the td04, then looking into getting an EJ block.

junkyards FTL, the RX that i was going to get everything off of, got crushed.

But i'm picking up an EJ20 block on tuesday, when i get back and get the courier running, and the snow is gone, i'm going to start tearing the interior out of the car to see how bad the rust is, then completely disassembling the car.
