Anyone on here does it for a price or do you guys know of any shops locally that do it for a decent price...

I think it's time to do mine really soon since my 2nd battery stopped working yesterday...

no one rebuilds alternators anymore since it's cheaper to just buy a new one

umm... my 140w alternator is $340... with a $140.00 core which would drop it to $200 but still...

if you can find someone on here to rebuild it or you do it yourself it's cheaper but through a shop it's more because of the cost in labor.

before spending the money you should get your charging system checked. Could be you have a draw thats killing the battery. If you want, see how much the diodes are and I could probably throw them in for you.

x2 and what Scott said.

Huskey sells all the parts and rebuilds alternaters and starters. All that normally goes wrong with alternaters and starters is the brushes and they generally cost 8-10 bucks...if that, to replace if you know how to do it yourself.
