I figured i would finally start a thread of the highest Mileage DSM on the e site so here goes.

First update, I just ordered ECMLink (DSMLink V3) The rest is not really an update just parts i've had sitting waiting for the car for a while now.

Comp 272/272 Cam Combo
PTE 780 Injectors
EVO 8 FMIC
ACT Streetlite Flywheel
Remote Start unit that has yet to be installed.
Power Antenna
2Ga Sideskirts = Sex
Front and Rear Prothane MM inserts
AEM Wideband
Interior gauge goodies

Goals: Take the stock block as far as i feel comfortable with, Hopefully 120 MPH traps but if the engine blows before that then i'll do my best to swap in a built 6-bolt :hsdance:

HX35 with 1000+ cc injectors gives you an idea of the kind of power i want to finish with on the build It's been a great (and reliable) time with the car so far can't wait to start tearing into her and make her do what a DSM does best.

No same rims, but the finish got fucked up this winter so i'm gonna get them coated bronze/goldish when i drop the car.

If you make sure you get good parts and put maintenance at the top of the list you should be fine.

If you do go as low as my car was don't use the springs I did. The eibach sportlines suck. They actually had a lower spring rate in the rear than stock. LAME. Get good coilovers and be done with it.

As for you goals with the stock block. It's not x amount of boost or power that it can take. It's how much detonation you cause. If you tune for zero knock it'll take quite a bit of boost and power before things let go. I've seen logs on dsmlink over 55lbs a min on stock 7bolts.

With the roads this car usually sees (Payette area) it can't be too low but i'll try my best.

I've been told multiple times now to stay away from full coilover setups, if you can tell me otherwise i'd like to hear it. And i was just using a general statement to make it easier to describe my power goals (so the newbs can understand, lol) I've seen the same kind of logs and have mass respect for the 7 bolt, even with all the crankwalk hate.

Update coming soon but i want some opinions real quick if at all possible.

I want to keep the wheels i have but i need to Powdercoat them since the finish is all fucked up. What to go with? I'm thinking along the lines of bronze, gunmetal, gold. Pretty much telling you that i can't decide. Lemme hear your opinions.

Dropped my wheels off at the same shop to get done first pics will be up next week. Then opinions will be flung. The color i chose for the wheels is going to be really hit and miss, if it ends up good it will be real good but if it isn't good it will be real bad, experimenting with colors, lol.

I have ecmlink 272's PTE 780's etc. etc, and i'll be picking up my new turbo setup along with my FI setup for my four door. I have just over 2 grand into parts to make it go faster, this is THE FIRST "nice looking" part i have purchased.
