Hate to break this to you but I cant find a god damn thing about that diffuser. Either its not made anymore and a limited production or its custom. You can try Pming Metric on honda-tech (thats the owner of the crx) and see if he will tell you where he got it and who makes it. He was asked several times in his for sale thread on honda-tech on who made the rear diffuser but for some reason he wouldnt tell anyone. GL on the search brian. Looks to be a VERY VERY rare part.

EDIT: Pm'd him so we will see if he will tell me.

yea, i found him on honda-tech, and 2 other forums and he never said. i also saw threads about it on 3 separate forums wondering what it was. its driving me crazy cause you can tell its a stock part on a car, its just you cant tell what car did it come off of

Yeah it obviously came of a honda. That fitment is WAY to good to be anything else.

I was up last night looking for you Brian and I couldn't find a fucking thing about it. Good Luck!

It honestly looks like it came off the back of a ford focus or something. And i am not even going to get into the fact that its not even doing anything! the air will take the path of least resistance, and that is AROUND the diffusser. In order to be effective you would need to block off the sides and force the air through the diffusser. And in my opinion it really doest look that good. besides why would you want downforce on the back of a FWD car? Making the rear end stick would cause the front end to become unstable where your drive/steering wheels are. Anyways its obvious this is for looks over function...

it is most deffinetely a modified stock piece from another car, good luck in your search!

You would be wrong aj, lol.

And a defuser isn't for downforce, its for stability

I take it you arent familiar with Bernoulli's principle? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernoulli%27s_principle)

As the air enters towards the front of the car it accelerates and reduces pressure. There is a second suction peak at the transition of the flat bottom and diffuser. The diffuser then eases this high velocity air back to normal velocity and also helps fill in the area behind the car making the whole underbody a more efficient downforce producing device by reducing drag on the car and increasing downforce.

The aft part of a car underbody can be a diffuser. It works to bring the low pressure air below the car back to the ambient atmospheric pressure without inducing turbulence. It uses Bernoulli's principle, such that the pressure increases while the velocity decreases. Since the pressure below the car is lower than on the side and above the car, downforce is produced if implemented correctly. Injecting the exhaust into the rear diffuser can also help extract the air from below the car. The exhaust gasses effectively energize the boundary layer, helping to raise the pressure of the low-pressure, fast-moving airstream back to the ambient atmospheric pressure at the exit of the diffuser. This helps extract the air more efficiently from the underbody.

There are different types of defusers. Some are for stability and some are for downforce.

Either way, you're correct about this one, it's just a show piece.

i want it for looks. nicely covers up the exhaust. the closest looking one ive seen it the STI one, but it isnt that

LOL look at the big brain on Mark ;)

i dont think that came from a ferrari (when do you see plastic on a 100k car?) maybe a prius or something, maybe something fuel efficient.

Well... Hate to break this to you brian but thats a one off diffuser that he made. And he no longer has it because it got stolen. So it looks like your SOL.
