Ok so my truck never sold

I'm currently going to be replacing the rear end, maybe the tranny.

it currently has no mods to it except new exhaust and custom "eye lidZ" lol

96K miles, Mazda MA 2.0l engine, currently a 4 speed tranny.

got the head off earlier tonight

gonna clean it up tomorrow and take out the valve guides and what not

I might be persecuted for it, but I think it's the shit. If I had expendable dollars to spend I would have considered purchasing it.......

........but glad I didn't because it ended up taking a shit on you. Maybe when you get it fixed up are you going to have it back on the market? I won't be broke forever, just broke right now.

I wouldn't worry about that as much as I'd worry about theft. I know to most it's no prize, but an easy target anyway (I would think). I damn sure don't blame you for taking it instead of the Nova.

well 4.11 gears are what're going to be swapped in. The head should be done tomorrow, along with the rear end.

Hopefully i will have a running truck tomorrow.

well i'm waiting for napa to get my last 2 valve guides... then i can install the head and finish it up.

ok so, i was thinking all that's left to finish this is: Cam bearings, 2 valve guides, one valve keeper, and differential oil.

Hopefully i can get all this tomorrow. Damn NAPA and not getting the part on time, hopefully i can get my money for the 2 valve guides.

now it's just down to getting the timing chain cover off so i can redo the timing chain, and it should be up and running.

for got to get pictures of the engine torn down but all i have left to do is:

Torque the head down
install the crank pully
clutch fan
the radiator
intake mani and carb
exhaust mani
valve cover
put gear oil in the rear end
install the rear end
and bleed the brakes.

it's alot but if i get to it it shouldn't take long...

well the truck has been down for around 6 months now, i got the 4.10 gears in (for temp use) and just finally got it towed to my sisters and started working on it again. I just did a compression test since it wasn't firing, getting 75psi in all 4 cylinders, i obviously messed up on the timing. thank god this is a non interference engine. Tomorrow i'll redo the timing marks and hopefully the truck will be running.

well since i've been full of fail since i got back from Wyotech, i haven't done anything with the truck, I finally have some cash coming this way, getting everything necessary to get this thing going, even though I've said that for the past like year.
