We should do something like that out here for the uhh... "less financially fortunate" auto enthusiasts in the area. Or any auto enthusiasts in the area for that matter. Maybe not 3000 mi but more along the lines of...1500?

that's a dirt stage gravel rally race in Featherville, ID (near Mt Home.) Part of the US Rally Championship. Not a point-to-point "gumball" type thing.

That would turn it into more of a race and promote people to do stupid (read: illegal) things to make sure they are there first. Take a page from gumball and have different areas of "winners", i mean for sure the first to get there would get props, but have something like the group that has the most 'spirit', group to not get pulled over, stuff like that. i do agree with a buyin, but not for winners, more for the rental of a big room/huge party once you get to vegas.
