In a few weeks, I'm going to be buying a fairly modest home theater system. Do you know anyone that sells electronics? I'm getting the whole deal from big screen to audio set-up. I'd like to send the commission to someone I know who needs it and will give me a fair deal. :-)

I sometimes build nice home theater audio systems, all custom, from scratch. Always make sure that every speaker can hit a great, flat response (making Bose speakers sound like radio shack speakers). Sadly, I have little time to do such a thing, unless we are talking a month out.

peice it together yourself. audioholics.com is a great place to start you can give them your room layout and they can map it out for you. The best place to start is a good reciver. How in depth are you looking to go on a setup?

I will be building my own sub setup and I've always wanted to build a set of voight pipes.

Mel, getting a good receiver is the most important part of any system. Denon and Yamaha are 2 great entry level options. Find something with at least 4 HDMI inputs.

bcool, what sub/amp you going with? If I may, check out Dayton Reference series. They do... just amazing things! I have worked with them plenty of times, and for the buck, NOTHING beats em!
