What got you into the car scene: I drove 89 prelude with neon lights. Also, Tony (monkeymilitia) was always into cars and since we grew up together, I eventually caught the car bug.



About Me: My name is Kalder. I have a twin brother named Kyler. My fiance and I are getting married! Her name is Nikoa and she is the most beautiful girl in Idaho, so be jealous.. I have been into cars since I was about 15 years old, but didn't actually start working on them until I was a senior in highschool. I have been playing the drums since I was 14 and I am currently in a band called A Glasgow Smile (The greatest metal band alive)...

Story About the Car: I bought the car roughly a year ago. It was already boosted with an ls/vtec swap and a mild build (cp stock compression pistons, eagle rods) and after about 6 months I was driving the car on the freeway when it suddenly shut off. Turns out that the sleeve had cracked and the block was basically done. I decided right then that I needed to build it right, and thats how I got it where it is today. I hope you like the car!

Yeah, I have watched it a few times. I think my car would suck at it though. In a straight line I lose traction in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th depending on the road...I guess I gotta get used to throttle control. I also need to work a bit more on my suspension. Sounds like fun though so maybe I will come out one day!

Ride of the month was always one of my fave section on IMS, but the cars chosen were often the same, cliched cars we'd seen a hundred times, mine included. It's nice to read about a car I know nothing about, especially one as clean and well built as this. Good job on bringing some fresh meat to the table!

Thank you for noticing Steve. Another thing we are doing with this and calling it Feature of the Month is because we are trying to introduce not just the car but the person themselves. Get them introduced to the community. A giant mod list is not necessary, but some mods are nice.

This way even though you don't know the person you at least know who they are and that they are someone who is a contributing member to the community.

Why would that make anyone "feel better?" I'm just telling you how it is. You don't have to like it, and whether or not you do doesn't change anything. You're taking it too personally.

I have no idea the details of the motor that's in the car now, just like I had no idea of how the motor was when Ryan had the car. But to many, if not most of us, the CAR is still Ryan's car, and that's how it'll remain known around here, probably for a while at least. You haven't changed it up enough to change that, looks wise. Most people don't track a car by it's engine, or even know what engine it may or may not have. But when they see that car, they think it was put together by Ryan.

If you want to change that, change up the look of the car to make it more your own. Get new wheels, change a bumper, paint it a dif color, whatever. Or leave it alone if that's how you like it, but like I said, you just have to accept that by doing so you'll not get the credit you so obviously long for.

this is pathetic. if you REALLY want to get fucking technical its CELICAGT4's fucking car. ryan bought it from him, and put all his old shit on it. and if i recall, ryan didnt "build" any of it either, he bought his old teal coupe with all the stuff on it, and then swapped all the stuff to the black car. the only thing that is still left on this car from ryan is the rims and coilovers. Ryan for the body and the good stance and wheels that are on it.

Give credit to kalder for dumping all the time and money he has to get this car back up on it's feet. And with a monster of a block and the people it came from.

And give credit to your awesome friends and crew who spent whole days helping you tear apart the old block and put the new block together, helping you hook up and troubleshoot guage and other problems in a driveway in practically pitch dark so that this car can be back on the road and drivable again.

And for everyone to just give credit to Kalder because he kept with this project instead of just tossing it to the junkers or selling it off. I don't think you all realize how much stress and time goes into keeping a project like this together and on the road especially after the engine grenades it's self leaving kalder pretty much car less for a couple of months. This is now Kalders car even though it may not look like it. After all the work and stress (he literally almost didnt sleep for two days at one point) he put into it everyone should recognize it as his car with previous mods done by someone else or not.

I just wanna make clear that I gave Ryan 100% credit right after I bought it. I told everyone who asked that I didn't build it and I didn't run it at the track (Until I actually ran it at the track...haha) but now, its my car. I have put my style, my motor and my money into this car. That is why its such a big deal to me about it being my car now. And to confirm what Dietz said about Ryan not even building it...its true. He didn't even know what was done internally because when I took the motor apart...it was completely different.

So, once again...thanks to everyone for sticking up for me:) I love you all and you are all awesome:) Now go look at the new feature because its fucking awesome and deserves all the attention!
