Most of the time Rotas do not come in the sizes and offsets needed for that kind of fitment. The red S2K on the Spoon SW388's and the black one are/were owned by the same person, the red one was his old car. He is known for having all of the best wheels on his car. He has owned 20+ sets of wheels. I bet the wheels in the pics are already sold by now.

You should really look into styles before you come here and start talking about them. If you look back through this thread and knew what you're talking about then you'd realize that about 10% of the pictures are actually VIP cars. VIP isn't just a slammed car with camber. Also tucking the wheels is actually not traditional VIP at all so you really need to do some investigating before you act like you know something.

Weird that you see negative camber on that last VIP I posted cause it looks like it has none to me.



Here is some reading for you that I have copied from another site.

VIP car starts with just that, the platform or the car. Its not a VIP Car unless it starts with one of these cars. From Toyota, you have the Century, Celsior, Aristo, Crown, and Majesta. From Nissan you have the President, Cima, Gloria, Cedric, and the Q45.


I think the problem with someone trying to do VIPstyle on a non traditional platform is they don't know enough about the style to really it acheive that VIPstyle look. Sure, any one can slap on nice fitting wheels, slam the car and put a bodykit on and call it VIPstyle, but does it make it VIPstyle? Maybe or maybe not, and who is there to say that is not? If everyone did this, then VIPstyle would get lose in the translation. The style would be as meanless as "JDM", which in it's true form are nothing but original OEM parts (or cars) from Japanese that wasn't available for international consumption.

Call me a purist or elitist, just because I believe that VIPstyle belongs on certain platforms. But if nobody stands up to the real tradition of VIPstyle, then the word "VIPstyle" will be thrown around like any generic term "because it's the next coolest thing to come out of Japan". Do we really want VIPstyle to blow up and be a household word, not me if it's for the wrong reasons. I would rather get respect from the originator of the style than have a US version of VIPstyle so it will be more marketable for the US manufacturers. This is what it really boils down to, VIPstyle is the lastest trend to come out of Japan. And as with any style that comes out of Japan, alot of people want to be a part of it

No, its for something that isnt plain, bland and very easy to come across on the internet. I dont really come here looking for pictures that could be found my typing in a query of "cool car" on google. This is just my opinion but i wouldnt expect to come across an unmolested RUF or something of the sort in a "dope shiz" thread. I like to see stuff that is off the wall. Such as the following...

I like simple cars. I don't like loud styling on most cars. I don't like cars that scream "HEY, LOOK AT ME!". For example, I would rather own a Subaru Legacy Wagon with a STi motor than an Impreza STi. But that is just me.

Those are just set of steelies painted black with a red lip. You just need to find a st that is the right offset and the width you want and you could have them. And cheap to boot.

It would be possible to lower it more, but as a DD I think he wants some clearence. Those wheels were special order from sweden(lol SDM). Last I head they were close to a thousand dollars a rim if you order them today. They are 17x7. I would go 16x8 or 9 if I wanted to do some fender work.

For me, the a K20 swap into a fit, done properly, would make it a better daily driver. Mainly because it has more displacement and more torque. What Brian said about the stiff motor mounts doesn't make much sense to me as if I wanted a totally smooth, quiet and care free ride in my daily driver, I would get a Lexus. You guys are saying that a K20 in a fit would be a worse daily than a stock fit, and looking at the numbers, I disagree.

It is not particular style that I don't like, It is jsut the repetiveness of certain styles. I think that car looks tuff. Would I run a fitment like that? Not on a daily driver. For a show, I would. But other than that, I don't know that I would.

If I don't sell it then I plan on putting some coils on it so I can slam it and get some AME Shallen LX's 19x9 +20 up front and 19x10 +15 in the rear. Lots of fender pulling, tire strecthing, and negative camber will be in order to make them fit right aka you will hate my car :)

That head, was designed with the help of porsche. The head is $10k USD. It is an eight valve motor. It is made specifcally to comply with rally rules that dictate the number of valves must be stock. It outflows a stock 16v head. They make 3.0L stoker four cylenders with this head. The longbolck reportitly costs $25KUSD.
