So,

I've always had this fucking boost cut when I raise the boost on my car. At 7psi nothing would happen; it would run fine. Anything higher it would always cut once I got into boost. This was very sporadic and intermittent though. Sometimes when it was hotter out it didn't do it. Sometimes when I took out my exhaust baffle it would do it. I could always count on it happening sooner or later though. Today I was checking out my Injector harness since I noticed that if the wires were moved into a certain position it would cut fuel to injector 3. So I took all the tape off and checked all the wires and retaped them. There had been some oil that got into the harness a long time ago so I finally got fed up with it. Then I checked out my MAF and filter since it was connected to a coupler then maf then another hose to the intake tube. For some reason I went into my room and looked at the other three MAF's that came with my car. I grabbed the cleanest looking one with the same plug; KA24DE. It had a black plastic adapter for a filter on it and my air filter was too small to fit over it. I grabbed my heat gun and heated up the rubber on the filter then slipped it on and tightened it down. I replaced it with the old one and tried to start my car. No good. It wouldn't run right. I swapped the black plastic adapter onto my original MAF and had to drill out the holes a bit since it was a little bit bigger (i think this was the cure) and then tightened it down and installed it. Then I went for a drive and noticed the flutter was a little higher pitched when I let off the throttle. I got on the freeway and got into boost. No cut whatsoever. Didn't matter what RPM I started as it usually happened the worst when I went from 5th at 65 to 3rd and slowly crept to full throttle. I did it multiple times and it didn't happen. So I turned the boost up to 13psi and it still didn't happen. I was so fucking stoked since I've been dealing with this since I got it and have researched the fuck out of fuel cut, ignition cut, boost cut and anything in between to no avail. Finally makes me like my car.

Wow thats pretty weird, glad you figured it out! Makes your car feel a whole lot different with the boost up i bet.

it made it a lot smoother and it idles perfect. it probably fixed the rich problem too. now it spikes at 15 and holds 13.5 or so. i'm happy that it's figured out.
