Lowering springs??

Just a question,If you were to buy lowering springs for an E36 3 series bmw and you come across some that are NOT the same model, say a 318i to a 325is, would they still work considering they are 3 series cars?

I'm surprised that nobody has answered this yet, but yes, they will FIT, but say you get springs that were meant for the 318 and put them in 325, they will more than likely have a slightly different spring rate, as the 318 is lighter than the 325, yknow.

Anybody care to add to the more technical aspect of it?

so since the 318 is lighter will that mean, lets say i were to get 2" in the front and 1.8" in the rear its going to be a little bit differant because the 325 is a little bit heavier? ok and yes it has been up for a little while and no one has answered this for me. so thank you i do appreciate the help.
