Just a question,If you were to buy lowering springs for an E36 3 series bmw and you come across some that are NOT the same model, say a 318i to a 325is, would they still work considering they are 3 series cars and same motor set up?.

I don't think the motor really has that much of an effect on the springs, especially if they're both 3 series.

So the drop springs shouldnt really matter as long as the models are in the same series?

I answered in the other copy of this thread you made, but they will fit, just spring rate will be different since 318 is significantly lighter than the 325.

Actually... it does matter... I think the 318 mounds are just a tab bit different in the back and the from springs rate is waay higher in the 325/325 because of the extra weight...

ahh that would make sense to, the way they mount could be an issue?
