Nice! The Kraft Werks supercharge kit seems to hold some promise. It uses a Rotrex supercharger.

Fit mods - 784566454564

M5 mods - most likely none...

also that m5 is about 6-7 years old ^_^

Still a nice build on the Fit.

The M5 looks to have at least suspension and wheels and tires. What does age have to do with it?...lol

You BMW guys...:)

It tells you the mods..."The Skunk2 / Kraftwerks Fit's speed is made possible by using Skunk2 Pro-C Coilovers, 60mm Skunk2 Megapower Exhaust, and a Kraftwerks / Rotrex supercharger kit."

I am pretty sure the m5 probably has similar mods minus the supercharger kit of course.

M5 got pwned.

The fit is an economy car. It, therefore has little weight to move.

The Bmw weights 3500+ lbs and looks to be pretty stock.

The fit is cool, but stock v. stock is a better comparison.

Supercharge the bimmer, put a comparable suspension under it and then we can talk.

omg its drunk scott.

it even looked like the m5 let him by... why else would he take the corner so wide? cool vid though i guess. fit sounded neat.

I think we all understand that concept. Yes they are 2 totally absolutely different cars...got it. However...the point is....this Fit is bad ass!

This makes no sense. What would stock v stock prove? The BMW is simply being used as a measuring stick. Nobody is saying the Fit is better or trying to say that it's done something that it hasn't. Is the M5 the ultimate performance car? Of course not, but we all have an idea of the performance it delivers, and this shows us that this Fit beats that. Pretty impressive the way I see it.

Also, as far as your weight argument, I did some quick checking...

That Kraftwerks kit is for an 07-08 Fit, so I looked up the weight of an 08 Fit Sport (I used the lighter of 2 listed weights) and of an E39 M5 (only 1 weight given). Here are the numbers:

2008 Fit Sport
2471 lbs/ 200 whp (given in video) = 12.4 lbs/hp

E39 M5
3792 lbs/350 whp (given in video) = 10.8 lbs/hp

So, the Fit is actually moving 1.6 lbs/ hp more than the M5. Of course this assumes the Fit is stock weight, full interior, etc. But we can calculate that 200 hp x 10.8 lbs/hp (ratio of BMW weight/power) = 2160 lbs, which is what the Fit would have to weight to have an equal weight/power ratio as the BMW. It's unlikely that the Fit has been lightened 300+ lbs, but even if it has, this is still an impressive little car.

Thanks Steve!!! I was thinking the same thing...but in my "old age" I decided not to spend the few extra minutes to compile the stats so I just decided to post the cliff notes...haha

I know others have already rebuttal but I don't understand how adding a supercharger, and comparable suspension would be fair to racing a fit with the same mods...
A brand new fit retails for around 18k
An 03 m5 retailed around 80k but now goes for around 30k.

Your comparing the fit which is meant for getting groceries with an m5 that is meant for getting groceries and running a 1/4 mile in the mid 12's. Its a damn good comparison if I say so myself!

This is true. But power to weight isn't everything you know.

I never said that the fit wasn't an impressive car.

I would find a Fit passing a S2000 more impressive. The M5 is not a track only car. I mean it has heated seats and a swede headliner.
