my turbo has decided to get all smoky on me and is due for a rebuild, just wondering if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with any local companies, please state how much that you paid for your rebuild with your post,

thanks!

I would rebuild it for you if I had the correct tools, which I don't :( Idk about the local shops around here haven't had any experience.

There is a place on Cole Rd. just south of the freeway that does turbo rebuilds and fuel injector cleaning, among other things. They do really good work there. It's like right across from Costco.

Edit: Here is the info. If you searched on here first, you would have found it, as it's been asked here before.

Gem State Fuel Injection
1992 South Cole Road

yeah, i actually read that post, and thanks for the input. im looking more for any personal experiences, i can get the rebuild kit for it for around $100 and do it myself (minus balancing of course) but i would much rather pay someone who does good work (and warranties it) :10bux:

Well I know that they do good work, and they do have warranties on their turbo rebuilds if I remember correctly. I had my injectors cleaned and balanced by them, and they provided me with before and after flow rates. Definitely worth it to give them a call or stop by and talk to them.

They cant balance turbos. They send them out to a place in Utah. So if you can find out where they send it you could save yourself some money. I used to know but since have forgotten.

i love the sound of that, there is a turbonetics ball bearing turbo that has been calling my name for about six months now, but $1200 is a little more than i can spend at the moment.
