So I have a basic lawnmower with a honda motor...So I pulled it out for the season to get it ready..
I have cleaned the carb all the lines and the got rid of all the old gas.. Filled it up with some new gas and it starts right up..
my mower has some auto choke on it.. so it slowly opens the carb as it start well as soon as as the carb opens the mower dies....
I am lost.....HELP
I am running into the same issues with my wacker and the golf cart at the shop, both have the same basic carb. What I am thinking is the diaphram in the carb is bad and needs to be replaced. Mine, mind you, seem like they are both starving for fuel. Might not be the same issues as you since mine will run with the choke partially on, but die when the choke is off or on fully. I am going to get a rebuild kit for both carb's and rebuild them, as I only took them apart and cleaned them totally. Of course, i don tknow what carb you have, but I imagine small engines all share a similar carb, square with a diaphram, needle valve, ect.?

my problem is entirely different. I broke the pull start cord and went to lowes to buy a new cord, $4 cool. Well i tear into the starter and little to my knowledge the spring inside isn't held in by anything!!! It unravels and curse words ensue. Bloody knuckles and a few beers later i have resorted to youtube with no real help. Anyone have any tips on how to get the mutha fucking spring back in the starter?
