what's your opinion on best and cheapest place to go??
I heard hubcap annie is pretty cheap and doesn't give you crap about not buying tries from them..
I need 4 tires taken of my rims and then will be putting 4 new tires on here in a bit....

hubcap annies has les schwab in meridian mount/dismount their tires. i had a rim fixed there and had to go pick it up from schwabs after they mounted the tire back on.
walmart is the cheapest, but they wont do any sort of performance/low profile tire. beyond that, its homie hookup time.

They may have a long time ago, but they actually have a tire machine in the shop behind their house. That is where they do all of the wheel repairs. I picked up my wheels/tires from there when they mounted them.

i just had this done about a year ago....maybe it was my 20" rim with a 235/30/20 on it....but 100% without a doubt, they did NOT mount or dismount my tire. les schwab in meridian did.

I've had tires mounted/dismounted at places all around town, and Jessica at Les Schwab on Fairview is the best if you want your wheel taken care of. But, they are NOT cheap, and when I was talking to her a couple weeks ago, she said they just raised the prices again, to something like $1/inch for mount and $1/inch for dismount. Yikes!

funny thing is i picked up my stuff from hub cap Annie and they said they went to schwab and they told them that that size tire should never be mounted on the rim..
when I was looking for a place to take them I called Schwab and they said they would do it no prob...LOL

see...i told you hub cap annies DOES NOT mount/dismount themselves. they have schwabs do it...thats why its a drop off today, pick up tommorow thing...cause they haul them over to schwabs in meridian lol

well you are the 4th person i personally know that went to hub cap annies...aaaaaaaaand the 4th person to have hub cap annies take there wheels to les schwab. what they say, and what they do, are obviously 2 different things lol maybe they break down 86 chevy truck wheels and tires themselves, but so far anyone with an aftermarket wheel/tire has had schwabs do it for annies. did they give you a pudding cup for your troubles? lol
Jserman
04-30-2010, 10:03 AM
Fuck I wish... I find it hard to believe they outsources there mounting... cause schwab charges 17+ a rim depending on size of rim... and annie's charges 12...
and if you didn't read they did JDMITR's. they told me they didn't feel comfortable putting my tires on my rims and was going to check with a tire place to see what they said...
and if there outsourcing to schwab and schwab said they would do it why didn't it get done???... and why would they refer me to bruneel to get it done when i picked them up???
well I am glad they didn't do them cause christian (csweston) hooked it up for me....
Tires are mounted and look awesome... now just waiting for my C/O's

Got my tires done today at Ultimate Tint and Wheel on Fairview. They are a little spendy, but Jason did a great job on my mild stretch (225 on 9, 245 on 10). They do have a cheetah and are willing to do more aggressive stretch though, so may be an option for some of you. I had a hard time finding places that would even do mine...

firestone on broadway.
205/40's on 9's
195/55's on 10's
They don't give a fuck.

the problem with most of you is....you ASK them to mount your tires. just tell them what you want and they'll do it.
Nitrous2k
09-27-2010, 12:50 PM
or go to walmart, they try to mount and fail at setting the bead, but get tires on the wheels. they give you that much for free because they couldn't get it done. you go home with an air compressor, a strap some soap and some jumping (or starting fluid if you can) and get them mounted for free.

09-27-2010, 01:50 PM
^^^^ yea i WON'T be taking my rims to walmart....I am good...
