Just curious if anyone knows of any places that are currently hiring? I've applied at a few places already. Im still in high school so I'm looking for something just part time. NOT fast food, but other than that I'm not picky. So if you know of any where that is hiring please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and im 18 (i know some jobs only open up to 18+).

Thanks in advance

You could pursue a career in becoming a professional poker player.

Just starting out part-time, you can easily make about $3,000 a week or so. :)

I love poker!!!! However i believe that falls under the "you need money to make money" category (buy ins). Currently i have no monies.

It's true. For cash games you want to have 5000 big blinds, and tournaments 100 buy-ins, sit'n'gos 250 the buy-ins.

If you think you're skillful enough, you can play in smaller tournaments on FullTilt like I do (Or any other online sites). Something as simple as the daily $15K Guarantee, costs $3 to get into. I trumped 7,500 other people and got into 4th place, walking away with $1,300 (1st-3rd obviously got much more money, but most tourneys pay out to the top 10% finishers). And that's just one of many tourneys I've cashed out in, not including ring-games.

Seriously. Do it. :D

Oh, and I just forgot. One of the pros, Chris Ferguson, did a challenge called the $0-$10,000 challenge, where he turned, obviously, $0 into $10,000 over a period of time following his bankroll management rules.

I've done similar things, but more aggressively. There are Freeroll tournaments just about every other hour that take in 10,000 people, and the top 45 people share $150. I know it doesn't sound like much whatsoever, but win one or a few of those, and you can use that money in smaller tournaments.

So really, it doesn't take any money to make money. :)

EDIT: By the way, I'm gonna be in town this Thursday until the next Sunday after next. I was wanting to get together a poker night. You think people would be down with a G208 Poker Night? $5min-$10max. $0.05/0.10 blinds. Unlimited rebuys. Anywhere from 6-9 seated? ...eh?
