the only thing i would change is the doorline, i hate it when it doesnt match up with the front. and i hate the interiors on new cars.

As a CRX guy I'm supposed to be excited. I have no enthusiasm for this car.

great, so everything else in the Honda lineup has gotten bigger, and this CR-Z is just the new Civic hatchback.
It's way too big, but so is everything.

Well you don't need to worry about me getting the zdx since it's $55k. My pockets aren't that deep. But if I did have the dough, I would sport both the zdx and crz. :awesomedance:
I wonder if the crz will be at the Utah Int Auto Show in a couple weeks...

just looked over the specs again, and didnt the old crx si have a 150hp 50mpg? and 20 years later the hybrid gets worse mpg and less hp?

There's no way the old crx in the states had 150hp. In jdm land it did with the b motors but not here.

i was just mentioning that in 20 years the technolgy hasnt really seemend to go that far based on hp and mpg.

There is no way any old crx's were getting 50mpg.
I really don't see the crz getting far in the market unless it has a good price point since you could get a Prius that is larger and gets the same mpgz with equal reliabilty and resale but really I don't care cause I want a FT86 or a new 240sx if they bring it back, not some shitty hybrid.

Yea, they do. 88 HF's were easily getting 50. My DX around town got 38, highway: 46 ish... B16: 35mpg in town, 40mpg highway

20 years of technology has gotten you 1000lbs of ABS/SRS and other saftey related bullshit.
the 88 crx hf weighed, what 1800lbs wet, coupled with a 80hp motor and such long gears the car topped out in 2nd gear....thats how you get 50mpg. now cars are so heavy that it takes more HP to move them....bigger motor = more hp, more HP = more fuel, more fuel = less mpg. stick all this technology in an 1800lb eggshell and the damn thing would get 100mpg.
apples to oranges.
still wont buy it lol.

honda's 4dr hybrid already puts the prius to shame so thats a moot point. the crz is basically the new insight. for people that commute in a big city environment, this is a car that will sell very well.

Finally, a voice of reason out of the darkness.
You beat me to it Dietz.

Totally agree with Dietz on this one. Thats why I love the older cars, Less technology = less weight, also = less safter.
omg its drunk scott.
