what is the definition of compression distance? my brother is building a 2.3 for mini stocks and has a few choices for pistons but he wants the most compression. the opstions are based off of compression distance according to summit? i think. we have tried google to no avail, wiki has nothing usefull, there are calculators out there to do the math, we just need an explanation of what exactly it is. piston choices are like 1.5 or 1.03 ect ect on and on for CD.

It is the distance from the center of the wrist pin to the deck of the piston. The reason they ask this is because if you use a different crank or rods than stock this will change what you will need as far as the piston is concerned. ;)
