Mark all threads with
-FS (For Sale)
-WTB (Want To Buy)
-WTT (Want To Trade)
-1st and Foremost NO THREAD JACKING (i.e. offering the same part or service in someone elses thread, filling another members thread with mindless banter not pertaining to the thread at hand, etc, etc)
- No thread crapping. Not limited to but includes things referencing to the price, the quality of the product being offered, whether you dislike the item, etc... Remember it is a for sale thread not a poll or opinion thread. The key is, if you are not interested in buying it then there is really no reason to post in the thread. If you have something that you feel might help the member with the sale then please PM them. Remember to be polite and courteous when doing so.
- No Vendors, Businesses, are allowed to post threads in the private party classified sections. Approved paying Vendors, Businesses may respond to members WTB threads if they have what the member is looking for. If you are a vendor contact either Spastik, Insepsis, or myself.
- List as many parts with their asking prices
- Any inquiries of parts that you have that are not listed, post the asking price for that item.
- All items must have an asking price (This is NOT the price is right)
- Make sure that you put your thread in the appropriate for sale forum as listed on the main page classifieds.
- No "How much is this car or parts worth?" type threads. To determine this, do a basic scan on Autotrader.com, Ebaymotors.com, or search the appropriate classifieds here to see what they are going for, etc. to figure out what the average price is for a given car or part. Threads posted here asking our members to estimate the value of your car will be deleted.-
- No selling stuff on behalf of other people. If they can't sell it themselves that's their own problem. Don't make it yours.
- Try to make your buy/sell/trade post subject look something like this:
no "Might be selling," or feelers. It's either for sale or it is not.
state if it is FS/FT/WTB (ForSale/ForTrade/WantToBuy)
describe the product
state the price (With currency) (if it's a FS ad)
state the location
remember a picture is worth a thousand words
- Try to keep the number of NEW threads to a minimum per member (if you have 5 different things to sell at once don't put post 5 different threads).
- No excessive thread bumping, a bump every 2 days is what is allowed.
- If you sell your item(s) please notify others by posting an update
Failure to apply yourself to these rules could result in losing your classifieds privileges (please don't make this section look like a daycare). The moderating staff will warn you if you are in violation of any rules or if anything looks out of line. Other than that...
