240sx coupe or hatch?

i wanna know peoples preferences with either the coupe or the hatch s13
i just wanna see what people think
what looks better
if theres really much of a difference in performance
which is the rarest out of the 2

ive just heard the coupes have stiffer rear ends? and that they are lighter
haha im kinda new to all this but thats just what ive heard

couples only look good with JDM front on them IMO with USDM I like the hatch...

as for stiffer and lighter I haven't heard anything but I could see the coupe being lighter but who knows...

i think its all personal preference....

I have also heard that the coupe is lighter and stiffer. Lighter due to the smaller piece of glass in the rear and stiffer due to the trunk bracing. It isn't a whole lot of weight difference though, and it's only marginally stiffer. Go with whatever cleanest shell you can find for the best price.

yeah i just recently bought a coupe
perfectly running and a few mods
the only thing thats really bothering me right now is that there is a decent size like scrape/ dent in the rear driver side quarter panel
i really like how the coupes but i like the hatches to
and there is a guy who has offered me a clean hatch for trade but im not sure
if itd be worth fixing the coupe or just trading it for a clean hatch :facepalm:

As far as the dent goes, depending on how bad it is (take a few pics and post them up) it may not be all that difficult to fix. I'm not sure, but I think you can get behind some or most of the rear quarter panel from inside the trunk and you might be able to hammer it out decently yourself, and cover it with overfenders. I personally like the raw look of overfenders that are painted before hand and then just riveted on the car, which would be very easy for you to do yourself.

Yeah don't ever mold anything or it will be really hard to replace, especially because fiberglass isn't the most durable material.

I also posted up a pic of the headlight and bumper im not sure whats the deal with them but i think the bumper is a little crooked with is messing up the headlight
any one have an idea on how to fix that???

That looks like a lot of work and $$$ to get it fixed and looking right. You're honestly better off getting a better condition one and selling this one to someone who doesn't care.

the over fenders sound like a decent idea that would pretty much cover that whole dent up
i but the price so far up because from past experiences

so they would lowball at a decent price id actually expect to sell it at

I got my hatch in jerome it came with a DE with a rod nock, and I replaced the engine with another DE over the summer.

oh nice yeah i know a guy who will sell me a shell of a se coupe for like around 400 and its a 93
im not sure what the smartest thing to do right now would be
either get those over fenders ( which the cheapest i found was 200)
or i could buy that shell and swap the engine over.. idk how hard that would be.... i know a good amount about cars but i dont think i could do an engine swap by myself
if i bought that shell i could swap it all over and part out the gold one....

I got mine for 1000 bought a kade with tranny that had 79k on them for 500.
so I have a extra DE sitting in my garage right now.
You have the DE right?
Engine swaps aren't that hard definately helps out alot when you have a extra person with you.
