Yes, this is Ruby Renegade. I've got tons of shots of her, most are much crazier then the ones that somebody posted (not me) on the golf website that was mentioned earlier. BTW it sucks seeing my stuff all over the net. At least this time the posting person left the watermarks. Typically they crop that shit off and put their own watermarks on it.

I got lots of car pics and non-car pics of her too. More coming soon at www.suicidegirls.com too.

just a warning james, last time i looked into it, suicidegirls fucks over photographers. i heard that they may have changed a little bit, but i had a girl wanting me to do some shoots for that site and when i looked into it, they gave you NO credit, and you couldn't use the photos for ANY personal use anymore, including portfolios and whatnot. might be something to consider.

You're right. There is quite a bit of discussion about that over at www.photography-on-the.net

The suicidegirls.com photography waiver and agreement is pretty standard to most all other agreements that photographers and models sign when they decide to sign exclusive usage of their trademark, likeness or intellectual property. It is a bummer, but the sites pay the model and the photographer for their product and the contract is not binding outside of the images that are sold. For girls like Ruby Renegade, it is a way to promote herself and get paid at the same time. The hope that every model has is that she will be discovered by an exclusive promoter as a result of her images, and sign on to higher paying contracts.

As far as the photographer credit goes, that is just a sad reality of sharing your art and work on the Internet. I have freelanced for Harris Publishing and many of my images have been used in their magazines. They give a one line credit printed next to the photo, but that is about it.

In contrast I have snapped thousands of images for model hopefuls, and never received "official" credit for the work. But in doing so, many hits have been generated to my websites, which is like free advertising when compared to similar pay services such as google's hot linking. What pisses me off is when I see my photos all over the Internet cropped down so that my watermarks are removed. In some cases, people even put their own watermark on my images to make it look like they took the image.

Photography is not my job. It is a hobby that I sometimes get paid for. My hope is that some of the money I earn doing photos will offset the costs of my equipment. At the end of the day, it is more about the fun and art of it.

Prosumer camera bodies and professional lenses are more and more affordable each year. As the price comes down, more new photographers enter the marketplace and we are flooded with new images. Some are amazing. I welcome the new blood and I learn from their skill and admire their eye. I've never met InSepsis in person, but he has some ridiculously amazing photos each month in the feature of the month section. I've learned a bunch by looking at his images, even though I am probably twice his age and have likely been shooting a lot longer than him. (this is unconfirmed, I don't know InSepsis at all). The reason I joined garage208 was because of the photography I saw posted by many of the members here. Some of these photos are AMAZING.

DrunkstepDave if you have any interest in getting credit for your work and want to make good money shooting photos, consider opening an account at istockphotos (http://www.istockphotos.com). I know a couple of Boise guys that make close to 100K a year selling stock photography on that site. That's not a bad part-time job!

I personally understand the anger that can come from stolen images, but don't let it discourage you. I love how many local photographers we have here. All the ones i have met have been more than friendly and really enjoy taking pictures. I enjoy looking at the pictures you guys take and share on sites like this.

My roommate comes out with me all the time at three in the morning downtown just to take pictures of my car for me. Dave took his own personal time to come out and shoot with me. Being completely photo dumb I could not do this without people like them. I think a huge part of the "car" scene is all of the photographers hanging out the back of a car to get the perfect shot, driving around at the early hours, and sharing their work with the vast unknown of the internet.
