It's probably not flickr, it's probably that your monitor isn't calibrated or that you're not saving them as the right color space. I'm not seeing any problems with my flickr, even though I haven't uploaded anything there for months.

But using your own separate server/website for hosting your pics is always the best idea.

If it was half the size it wouldnt be too bad. The problem is people on the internet crop photos and put their own logos on it to claim it as their own. Photogs put huge logos on them, or watermarks to make sure no one steals them without getting credit. In that regard, I think its a decent size.

And when the hell are you buying a domain?? Im tired of seeing myspace.com on them, you are better than just a myspace photog, you need to show it with a domain.

if you've never done a wedding before, it's a LOT of hard work... you almost NEED 2 bodies, because if you're changing lenses all the time, you will miss shots. and there will be times when you go "shit, i need my other lens on" and by the time you make the change, it's too late. that's what i had my d2h for before, was my second body for weddings. seriously, if you haven't done one, don't go into it thinking it's just another shoot, because it's not. and if the bride doesn't like the photos, or if you missed some key shots, there is a chance you can/will get sued. you also want some kind of insurance to cover any accidents that could happen, like for example if you have your battery charger hooked up somewhere and it shorts out, causing a fire. you don't want to have to foot that repair bill. you also need at least 30GB of memory and 2 spare batteries for each camera body, and 3 sets of batteries per flash unit. and if you're using the flash a lot, you will need to cycle them because they heat up....

Because about 50% of the people visting it will have issues and because it's a paint to maintain and because once one thing goes wrong you can say goodbye to everything, your XML, your databases. Trust me on this. This is about 8 years if development and web programming speaking.

If you build a flash website you better know what you're doing, cuz if you pay someone to do it, it's more likely going to cost more than an HTML site.

Furthermore, if you build it yourself, it'll look like shit unless you're good at graphic design, and secondly, unless you know the in and outs of Actionscript and updating your flash page from secondary xml files and such, you're going to have to re-upload new flash pages over and over again, which means your visitors will have to re-download and re-download.

All in all, x3. Flash sites are too big of a pain, and don't even get me started on compatibility issues, which is something Mirko mentioned as well.

i agree with both of them. i was working on a flash site for myself and i had it up and running. did some testing and i was able to make it crash way too easily and it fucked shit up. just go with a simple html site, you can make them very attractive and easy to use.

and going with a few big cards isn't the best idea either. if a card dies, that's a LOT of pics lost, versus if a 8GB card dies, you've still got a lot of other pics. i won't use anything larger than a 16GB for that reason unless i get a D3x where 32GB cards will hold about the same amount of files as a 16GB card in my D2x.

i would also recommend going with a second body that is more similar to what you currently use so that you're not guessing on button layouts, etc. during the wedding. just another thing to think about. i'd just go with another d700, same image sensor as the D3 and you already know all the button layouts.

just because you've had a single card for 3 years doesn't mean anything. cards die all the time. i had a 4GB card die during a soccer tournament, lost a whole game. but then again i've had cards for 3-4 years as well that are still fine. it was a big deal during the olympics a couple years ago. it's just not something you want to take chances with, especially when there is something as big as someones wedding photos riding on it. they can and will sue if you don't get them their photos.

html is easy btw, i use to do it in jr. high, dont waste money on a class for it, plus theres alot of software out there that you can build your own site with baisically click and drag, i dont recomend that, but its there. But flash programing logic is just kinda weird, id recomend taking a college level course with a guru of a teacher before you do much with it. and putting everything on one device like a flash drive is just kinda dumb, what happends if its gets crushed or comes flying off the roof of a car... er wait nvm.

I wouldn't point both of your flashes at the front of the car, it leaves the rest of the car too dark. Also, try shooting from a different spot, ALL of the exterior pics o f the subaru were taken from the SAME angle. It gets really boring. Other than that, they look good.

The biggest thing about your photos that i dislike is when the flash reflects off the paint, its super distracting to me, and takes away from the car. One thing that might help with that is diffusing the light better through a cloth or something so it isnt so harsh

Before all the criticism starts about the hot spot on her face in this photo; flame me for saying it, but in my opinion, this is a GREAT photo! Well done. im no pro. but i've done my share of ps work and it seems when you are editing shadows you do it on the wrong parts. like the hood looks good and makes the photo more vibrant. but the tires, grill and under guard look fake as pamelas titties. i mean you turned the lining of the grill from black to nearly chrome. WTF? its just not needed. try to be more subtle. i know that's gonna be hard for your "hey look at me e-attitude". but it's a skill that will help you out. try using the sharpen tool rather then just editing the whole image at once. also if you focus on one area at a time you will get better color feedback so you don't over contrast or expose.
