First, the car is a 2003 model with a 5 or 6 speed whatever it is they came with.

The car runs and drives perfectly under normal operation. However, if you are accelerating at all and have either of the blinkers on the throttle cuts out with each pulse of the blinker. My initial thought was that it the flasher circuit was somehow pulling voltage from the throttle by wire crap (yes, it's crap, on any car). However, I had him free rev it to 3k while parked and then turn on the blinker, nothing, so I'm kind of moving away from the throttle by wire idea.

So... I now would think it has something to do with the VSS sensor, but I'm not sure how the two would be connected and if that really even makes sense seeing as how it will maintain speed fine and cruise control still works. HELP please. Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened to people from what I see on the forums.

Later...

Installed a grounding kit just out of... I dunno... desperation. No change. Car only does this under load but at any rpm with the blinker on. Under idle and free rev conditions blinker has no effect. Problem started with incandescent bulbs and continued after LED's. I'm stumped.

I take it it 's not throughing in CEL codes???

have you tried pulling the the blinker circuit or fuse???

and if you have looked this up ont he forum what did they say was the cause???? if you haven't I can look it up if you need too

He looked it up on the forums. Most people said something about a resistor possibly inductor inline with the rear turn signals but that was due to problems caused after switching to LED bulbs. His problem started with the normal bulbs. No CEL's and we haven't pulled the fuses or anything because we know it's that circuit that is screwing with things.

Rob, IIRC you posted this on IMS a couple months back? Has your buddy taken the car to the dealership yet? I can understand wanting to look the problem up and solve it using help from various forums, but after this long, I'd just give up and take it and have them fix it. Unless they can't find the problem either...
