Halloween Classic [Archive]

Just got back from the Halloween Classic. We have been camping since Monday. The car ran great every day. The Mustang ran its fastest time ever on Thursday 11.48 at 116mph and we went 4 rounds that day also.

Sunday however in the first round of eliminations we broke a rod. I'll keep y'all posted on all the damage.

The wheelstanding competition on Saturday was pretty wicked. I hope to find some pics to post.

Did any of you 208ers attend this year and what did you think?

saw a pretty bad wreck on the way by and passed fire and emt on the way home, anyone have any info on the outcome? hope the driver is alright.

Cody Cumpton wrecked his Gixxer at the topend at 130mph. Barrell rolled and came to his feet. He was bruised to shit but walked away basically unscathed. The irony is he won that race. The bike was totally fucked on one side though!

Holy shit!! that's not a very common outcome. I am glad he made it out alive, and it's crazy that he manged to walk away from a collision at that speed!

damn. Did you see how it happened?

What I heard was he was looking over his shoulder to see where the car was and he got the death wobbles. I was clear up in the staging lanes so it was hard to make out how it happened. Dana Drummond was coming down the return road and all she saw was a flying black mass (Cody). All of the damage was done on one side of the bike so I guess after he fell off it just skidded down the track.

well there was the jet car that went off the track 2 at the end of the race and that brought a shit load of fire dept..
