Im a tire noob and im getting tires for some 17x7.5 rims and want to know a good metric tire size that will fit well. In other words i don't want to look like I'm from 2c and I don't want to look like I'm going to go mudding in a street truck.

I am thinking something with smaller side wall and a poss less bulge passing the face of the rim.

The size im at right now is 265/70 R17

260/60 r17...? make any difference, i dunno SHIT about tires

and looks like this

7.5 is not very vide... for a 7" rim 195 is the propper width... for 7.5 I wouldn't go much past 225...

here's a good tire size calculator to help you choose proper size/width.

thanks kind of got an idea for it

would 255/60 17 seem about right to any one?

losing 1.3" in the side wall.. all the way around i take it

It's all up to what you want.

How much diameter do you wanna lose? You have 31.6" tires right now and the 255/60 would be a 29" tire therefore only gaining 1.3" of tire to fender gap.

I would go with a 225/60 so that you aren't bulging off the rims like a 4x4 and it will lower it about 2" more since the tire would be at 27.6" diameter.

omg its drunk scott.

245/70/16 could work well too. Truck tires are different than car tires, so you can't go too skinny or it will look super goofy.
