DSLR troubles

I have a Sony a200 and I've have it since April '08. As of last Friday, every time I turn it on or off it rattles/vibrates for 3-5 seconds. Everything works fine just it rattles/vibrates very loud. I have no idea what the problem is. It sounds almost like a non-digital SLR rewinding.

focus motor going bad?

e2 is most likely right... see if you can hear similar noises when you have your auto-focus on and the lens is focusing...

if not, then it might be your sensor cleaning motor... sensor cleaner usually only runs for about a second or 2 when you start the camera and if it's off of it's rails it can damage the sensor... have it checked somewhere....


you most likely will have to send it to sony to repair since no one locally does authorized sony repairs... even canon is hadr do find...

No i just messed with it and soon realized that was the problem.
