Not sure what's going on with the idea of a 'blog', but definitely should at least have a forum, or sticky thread somewhere or something for the Admin to just leave threads within the forum on what's been majorly updated or revised to the site, so that people that actually care to read up on what's new, actually can, yknow

Damn that was a long run-on sentence.
