Anyone done this? Know what needs to be done? Or know of anyone that does it?

Well if they are painted then obviously strip the paint with air craft remover. Then depending on the condition of the wheel depends on what grade of sand paper to use. Then you obviously need metal polish of some kind. Def. take alot of time and elbow grease if you want to get them to look good and I mean ALOT of time and elbow grease. There should be plenty of How to's on the internet. Just google it up and you will get plenty of how to's.

Yeah everything I found was for different applications. Couldn't I just sandblast it, sand, then polish? How much does that cost? Are there any places in boise that would just do it for me?

Hubcap annie will polish wheels and were going to do the lips on some 19's for me for 200-300 dollars. He always gave me ballpark figures like that on prices. What condition are your wheels in now? If they are painted then you will have to sandblast them and if they are polished already with the clear coat somewhat left then Hubcap Annie will strip that off for you. Also, I had a lot of trouble with dealing with them just because the owner(Mike) was always way busy but whenever I got a hold of him he was really really helpful. They will also machine wheels there for a bit less then polishing if you are interested in that at all. Just call them up 888-0025

your thinking of the wrong chris. his screen name on IMS is LostKoz Chris Kozman. (he drives an EVO, and i highly doubt he is a member here) he does the best polish work around that ive seen. its deffinetely going to cost you though...there is a LOT of hard work involved. usually its cheaper to have wheels chromed than polished. i used to polish and sell valve covers and its a bitch.
