Is there anyway possible that they would let me run my motorcycle on the hill climbs? I know that I wouldn't be in any class or competing against anyone but I would really enjoy being able to take advantage of using the entire road and it would be fun to compare times to the cars. This may be a pretty far fetched idea but I have to ask. Also, do they clean all of the sand off of the road for the climb because I rode up bogus mid summer last year and hit a few patches of sand that scared the shit out of me haha

No, you cannot run a bike, even if it's not timed. It's a huge liability issue, and these events are for cars, sorry. You also have to have at least 5 autocrosses, and have the people who organize the hillclimbs watch you on an autocross day OK you to run (Shea and Crystal Henrie, Shea's sn on here is shenrie) so you don't kill yourself. We have had a very good record as far as injuries go at our local hillclimbs, and it's something we would like to keep going.

Also, we don't run the road up to Bogus. The only part we run is the road from the lower lodge to the upper lodge. If you go to google maps and look up Bogus Basin, look at the satellite view and find Pioneer Rd. (it's at the end of the main parking lot.) Pioneer is the part we run, and I believe we have it swept before we run, but I'm not 100% sure. I know I've never seen sand when we've run the hillclimb.

Yep, sorry Curtis. No bikes period. Not my rules, I do have to follow them though.

You might look into some of the local sportbike forums. I have heard in the past thet they have thier own version of what we do at our hillclimbs on for bikes. Dont hold me to that though.
