Well i figured it was about time to post this bad boy up. I bought this from CRIMES a few weeks back, and have been riding the ruck out of it. It's a 2008 and when I picked it up from CRIMES it had around 700 miles on it. It now has over 900 on the clock. So this will be the build thread of this little bad boy.
Enjoy.

And this is the first of many parts that have arrived so far.

So, my intake came in today as well and i have a set of handle bars and a new stem to put on as well. Plans are to attack the engine next and make it a little quicker and then an exhaust, new tail light, turn signals and a lower seat. Oh and btw I installed BMX foot pegs as well so I wouldn't have to use the floorboard.....that will be coming off soon as well. ;)
Thanks for looking. Will update as new parts come in and are put on. :wiggle:

No my name is Matt. I don't know what went on with the sale with Brett. Brett went down to Canyon and bought one from them.
And as for the ruckus, ya it needed the carb cleaned and I put a new spark plug and fuel filter in it. Runs like a champ now.

Yes, it's true. Late Friday night Jserman and I brought new life to my ruckus. I will post up some pics tonight. We put the frame extension and handle bars on (thanks to JDMITR as well....ilu brian and you the man for getting stripped screws out ;) ) Also yesterday I took off the stock air box and replaced it with a K&N filter along with two breather filters and removed the rear fender. The ruck is coming together. Now I need to remount my speedo, chop off the rear brake light assymbly and get some go fast parts.

That exhaust is f-ing sexy. You need to get rid of that huge taillight, but I'm sure you have that in the works. Good stuff.

Thanks for the positive feedback fellas. ;)
Makeitfit: ya i have plans for that gaudy taillight, no worries.
Runningwild: No, and hell no I am not in the airforce.....lol Im in the Army. ;) nothing wrong with the airforce though.
AND huge props to Brian (JdmItr)!!! He hooked up the cdi and helped me put in the new variator and belt.....uphill owns me but just ask Mike how much he likes hearing me bomb past him downhill ;)
My ruck used to top out at 41mph, now flat ground on a good straight she will hit in the upper 40's to almost 50mph. Downhill is a whole different story. hahah

okay so i went back to NAPA today and got the supplies I needed.
i know everyone says their pics are shitty and taken with a point and shoot but i have a Nikon D100 and i have no clue how to use it, so bare with me on the quality of the pics, there's your fucking disclaimer, NO BITCHING!!! lol
with that said,
here we go:
the mess of parts to be painted:

preping the garage:
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj140/MBH8533/DSC_0130.jpg?t=1270529080
testing the hangability of a coat hanger off the garage door bracket, worked like a champ:

what's going on back there?:

front bracket first to be painted:

next was the seat frame:

new tires, kick stand, password brake light, and license plate re-locator came in last wednesday. Tonight I put the clear on the frame, seat and headlight bracket, sanded down the battery box and put the primer on it. Tomorrow should have the first couple coats of paint on the battery box. After that I will start putting her back together. I can't fucking wait to get this thing on the road again!!!!
