Regarding Armdrop Live, below is an excerpt directly from their website about the international coverage that the event is getting.
Trust us when we say YOU WILL BE BROADCAST NATIONALLY. In all reality, this race will actually be broadcast INTERNATIONALLY, world-wide if you will, on one of the single most powerful mediums in the world today…YouTube! Ask yourself when was the last time that happened at Firebird. From our past experience, this in all likelihood will be a first.
Youtube. Seriously? Fuck, if that's what qualifies your popularity I guess autocross events are more successful than Firebird, because they've been "Internationally broadcast" by my roommate for almost two years, now.

so your knocking on them for hyping a race? for some people that might have been a selling point...for others like us that have been to the end of the net and back, its kinda funny. i dont really see what the big deal is.

I think the whole armdrop live hype is retarded. It's just heads up racing with some tool waving his arms around and flaunting his shitty ego and everyone gobbles the shit up.

Just like all the rest of us, firebird was also under the impression of what arm drop live was suppose to be, and it wasn't, it's not firebirds fault on this whole ordeal. There were allot of miss communication between rich and firebird.
I don't think Firebird would go out of there way and say there would be national coverage if they didn't think so. I know talking to one of the staff at firebird on Saturday they were kinda disappointed in what all went down. Don't set fire to firebird cause of some miss communications. They didn't have to except armdrop live at there track, but they did and I think it was great that they did. Although the event did kinda suck, but it wasn't firebird event. It was Rich's event and he ran the whole thing. All firebird was there for is some help and rent the track to Rich.

Firebird has always hyped up their events. Anyone gone to a nightfire Nationals lately? They suck. All of their pro events suck, and they still continue to raise their prices. Hell Jake, Im suprised you are defending them, it was only a year ago that you were giving me shit for wearing a firebird t-shirt that my kids had bought me for fathers day.

^^I'm not so much sticking up for them, just this one time as it wasn't really there deal, it was Rich's deal with the arm drop live. Other tracks such as woodburn went through the same shit with arm drop live, got the wrong impression of what it was "suppose" to be.
I'm not saying firebird is perfect, cause we all know they make plenty of mistakes, but this time it wasn't on there end.

At the IMS photoshoot at firebird a couple of months back they told us they would have cameras everywhere and it would be posted on Youtube. I didn't see any cameras at the track on Saturday other then spectators cameras.
From what I get out of it when I was there saturday is Rich does this on his "off season" and it's more of a audition for the pinks all out show, they find you, talk to you, and invite you to the real show with a free entry.
There was no $10,000 payout, there was no best 2 out of 3 finals, there was no betting money, ect ect. All it was, was a index racing with 12 sec class, 11 sec class, 10 sec class and the quick 8. It was basically just an event that you would normally see at firebird, but with rich flapping his gay arms around and being annoying as shit on the PA.
I guess I should have added that in there. I'm not taking sides cause the event to me just sucked, but again I wasn't racing so I can't say much since I was a spectator. But from what I got out of all of it was firebird was pretty much in the dark about allot of things since Rich runs the entire show, he made that clear to firebird before he came here.

$7500 Purse, which was split with classes. Winner getting chance to be on Pinks All Out.
They had 1 camera there filming for thier own Blog/YouTube page and other various website usage for a post event recap.
If someone had an issue with the event the Firebird Staff directed them to the Pinks Staff, for it was thier event, Firebird just hosted the track.

i went, i ran , i had a good time! and i would do it again if they come back! and i am deffinatlly not use to getting 4 runs a day at firebird. i got picked for the 10 sec class . seems like a 1 in 32 chance of winning 2 grand is a good deal to me. other times i have been there i get like a 1 in 300+ chance to win money ( if any). tell me anywhere else you could go 5 rounds for 2k?
