That's not from using Pennzoil. That's normal for those parts to look like that.

I would also suggest pulling the oil pan to look for any visible damage in the bottom end before trying to start it. If you did spin a bearing, you will do more damage by trying to start it.

It actually is pretty normal. The car probably has 150k+ miles. If you look at most cars with that many miles, they will look similar.
