I think you are the only one with a drag specific, non street driven car.

Last year we ran an 11.60 with third gear slipping. This is my Oldman's car. I did all the fabwork on it, subframe connectors, cage, seat mount, harness mount, re-work of the motormounts. This year we have a Dart block 347, with forged internals, 351c aluminum heads, intake, Redneck Performance tranny, manual valvebody with transbrake, massive cam, "large" headers 2 7/8primaries and 3 1/2 collectors. It goes on etc...

Have I seen you run at Firebird. I have seen the White 2nd gen RX, its pretty quick.

Mine has also run a best of 11.74 but only 114 mph. It doesnt mph like a boosted car, but 1.6 60 fts are nice!

Mine is also street legal and not drag specific.

Yep, I've been to Firebird several times. The white 2nd gen is owned by Richard and it goes pretty good. His best time I think is 11.84. I'll be out there at the next sports compact race and hopefully this time we don't have a 15-20 mph head wind.

ive had more than a few "drag cars" in my day...a couple of them were full on drag strip only cars (many years ago...and they were slow by todays standards) the ones ive built in the last few years were street cars.

the last car i built was a 1994 acura integra 4dr. built gsr motor, turbo, etc etc.
best run was 11.14 @ 130mph. (490whp 319ftlbs tq) i only got to make 2 full passes in the car due to it dropping a valve and destroying the cylinder head and block.

car before that was a 1993 honda civic 4dr, built SOHC motor, turbo, etc etc.
i had this car for a couple years, and was offered a bunch of money for it from someone who had seen vids of it online, and so i sold it.
best runs in that car (i got booted from the track for no cage) was 11.43 @ 127mph (405whp 315ftlb tq)

2003 evo 8, E85 fuel on 245/40/18 tires full interior, a/c, stereo ect ect. You would never suspect the car went 10.95 @130mph:D But ended up getting the boot for no roll bar lol. Oh well. I can always put a bar in it, but it kills the whole "street car" deal to me.

What? Don't worry, you have nothing to worry about my car being at firebird this year anymore since I got booted for no roll bar running 10.95 @130mph, and I don't plan on putting a bar in it anytime soon. This car is more for hill climbs, autox, and road racing.

And no, it is not white on black. My talon on the other hand was, years ago, like 4 years ago lol. The talon went 8.66 @165mph last season, but is now retired.

and it was 100* ,track temp was 147*, and corrected eleavation was 6500 feet.

Dave I dig all drag cars! Why do you have to be car racist? BTW the Mustang has new bottom end bearings, a new nine inch carrier, with new Richmond 4:56 gears, instead of the 4:86s the motor makes all its power half track.
