Hey all, i'm sure by now some of you have heard about Hinson Supercars 240 LS1 swap kit. I was just wondering if anybody locally has done their own V8 swap? I just wanna hear some feedback on this subject, to see what you guys think.

I have seen some done with the Furrd 5.0. This seems more cost effective, yet more fab work must be done. The 240LSX is said to run high 12's with a bone stock LS except for headers and cold air. I'm waiting for my KA to die, so it can be my play car again. The KA has been Mac proof for 15 years, that motor has earned my respect(purchased in '95). I cannot however say that for the small block chubrolet. Although one 305 I had did suprisingly well with no oil pressure, oil, or water. I laid a nice burnout before I swapped it.
IDK!

Nobody has one locally, but caleBOT has a LS1 in one of his E36 M3's. Sick car for sure.

I guess the sixspeed shifter lands damn near the stock location. What I have heard is the rearend is plenty stout. The same housing was used in the
300ZX and the V8 Infinity Q, X, B, L, R 45 whatever the name of it was! LOL
