Updates? Well gaskets came in for sr rebuild in the s13 yesterday and the one piece drive shaft for the s14 came in today.

hopefully we can monster garage this weekend and get the s14 running.

Updates? Well gaskets came in for sr rebuild in the s13 yesterday and the one piece drive shaft for the s14 came in today.

hopefully we can monster garage this weekend and get the s14 running.

well i work and it would have to be done outside in the dark/cold. We need a slide hammer to get the auto bearing out, then clutch in, shifter in, tranny in, clutch pedal in, drive shaft in, etc.

Update: manual flywheel, clutch, trans, drive shaft, and clutch pedal are in. Shifter and hardline need to go in tomorrow and I'm gonna need help with wiring. Who wants to help wire?

What was the issue???

Someone, (josh said to blame him), took a ground off the starter that doesn't usually need to be taken off. The starter is kind of hard to see so with insufficient lighting, we passed right over it when making sure the harness was connected.

we actually saw the two prongs and noticed that one didn't have anything on it, but we didn't think much of it.

also the threads on the prong for the power wire were all stripped near the bottom (closest to the starter) so we had to use like 2-3 washers to get the nut tight.

There was some wiring issues and when the starter was put on some how the (+) connection from the solenoid to the starter was disconnected. (edit) lol as derek stated above.

History of the s14 + 5 speed transmission
- mid March: started auto to manual swap
-6/11 3:30am: car starts and runs
-6/11 7pm g208 meet > downtown > hidden springs > home
-6/12 home > downtown > meridian > downtown > home
-6/13 home > twin falls > drift for 5hrs > bye bye clutch

basically my clutch started slipping on my last run


The event really helped me figure what I feel I should do. No longer caring about looks (dope wheels and overfenders are much further away). Planning on a cheap turbo setup (possibly ebay), then RUCA's, and steering wheel.

I remember spinning out on one of my runs and sliding backwards with my right tires in the grass and my left on the track, scraping the whole time. So at lunch I jacked my car up to see where I was scraping and I notice about 3-4 coolant leaks.

that's true but i want to mess it up by tandeming and using clipping points as clipping points. not spinning out and scraping on the track.

i messed up my sideskirt because a cone was knocked in the middle of the track. it knocked my sideskirt off and i ran over it (the skirt).
